Infinity pool at Ubud Valley Resort looking out over a forested river valley at dusk

Ubud, Bali · Hosting since 2015

Where you stay decides what Bali feels like.

Who you’re talking to

We're a small team on Jalan Monkey Forest with a hand-picked collection of villas and resorts, the days out worth taking, and private yachts through Komodo. Tell us what you're after and we'll put the trip together.

The collection

Places we can answer for.

Small on purpose. Every property here is one we manage or work with directly, so a question about it reaches someone who has stood in the room.

Around the island

Bali is small. It is not the same twice.

An hour's drive changes the weather, the light and the reason you came. These are the corners we send people to, and the ones we know well enough to plan around.

Why us

A host, not a booking screen.

  • Tri Hita Karana

The idea the company was built on: harmony between people, nature and the spirit of a place. It is why the collection stays small and why we work with the same families year after year.

  • We started by building

The Bali Host began in 2015 developing boutique villas in Ubud. We manage properties as well as host guests, which is why we can answer a question about a room without having to ask someone else.

  • One person, start to finish

Enquiries come to us, not to a queue. The same person who answers your first message is the one arranging the driver, the cooking class and the boat.

Tell us when you’re coming.

Send us your dates, how many of you there are and roughly what kind of trip you want. We’ll come back with what’s free, what it costs and what we would do with the time. Usually the same day.
