What you can expect from us, and what we ask of you, from the first enquiry to the last night.

01Who you are dealing with
The Bali Host is a villa management and travel company based in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, operating since 2015. These terms cover your use of this website and any enquiry you send through it.
For the villas we manage, we act for the owner. For experiences and yacht charters, we arrange your booking with the operator who runs it. Where a third party operates what you have booked, their own conditions apply alongside these and we will send them to you before you commit.
02Enquiries are not bookings
This site takes no payment and holds no availability. Sending your dates starts a conversation: we check the property or boat, come back to you with what is free and what it costs, and hold nothing until you say yes.
A booking exists only once we have confirmed it to you in writing and the agreed deposit has cleared. Quoted rates stay valid for the period stated in the quote and are subject to availability until then.
03Rates, deposits and payment
Rates are quoted per night or per charter in the currency stated, and we will tell you what is included before you pay anything. Government tax and service charge are shown separately where they apply.
Payment terms — the deposit, the balance and when each is due — are set out in your confirmation. We do not store card details, and we will never ask for payment details through an unsolicited message. If a payment request looks unexpected, contact us on the number below before acting on it.
04Changes and cancellation
Each property and operator sets its own cancellation policy, and yours is stated in your confirmation. Ask us for it before you pay if it matters to your plans.
To change or cancel, write to us. The date we receive your written notice is the date the policy is applied from.
If we or the operator have to cancel — a property becomes unusable, a boat is withdrawn — we will offer the closest equivalent we can find or return what you have paid for the part not delivered.
05Weather and conditions at sea
Yacht charters and water-based days out depend on conditions. A captain may shorten, reroute or call off a trip for safety, and that decision is theirs alone.
Where that happens we will reschedule if your dates allow. Weather is not a fault of ours or the operator's, so refunds in that case follow the operator's policy rather than a guarantee from us.
06While you are staying with us
Please treat the property and the team as you would a home you were lent. In particular:
- Stay within the guest numbers on your confirmation; extra guests need our agreement first.
- Events, parties and commercial photography need written permission in advance.
- You are responsible for damage caused during your stay, beyond ordinary wear.
- Indonesian law applies to you as it does to everyone else on the island, including the rules on drugs, which are severe.
We may end a stay without refund where conduct puts staff, neighbours or the property at risk.
07What we are responsible for
We are responsible for arranging your booking with care and for describing accurately what we have seen ourselves. Photographs and descriptions on this site are current at the time of publication; a property can change between updates, and we will tell you if something material has.
We are not liable for loss, injury or delay caused by a third-party operator, by your own actions, or by events outside anyone's control. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Travel insurance is your responsibility and we strongly recommend it, particularly for charters.

The text, photographs and design on this site belong to us or to the owners who supplied them. You are welcome to share links; please do not republish the content elsewhere without asking.
We keep the site accurate but do not warrant that it is free of error or always available.
09Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, and disputes fall to the courts of Bali.
